CT DOG SERVICES, Inc specializes in the reward-based training methods of family dogs.
I welcome all dogs (full- & mixed-breeds) and encourage families to promote positive training methods in their homes. Committing to the training of your family pet & companion can save the life of your pet and will encourage community support of pet ownership.
My goal is to assist the pet owner in producing happy, well-mannered canine members of the family and society.
I have been living in north Louisiana since attending Louisiana Tech in 1997. Always involved in the community (Special Olympics, Therapeutic Riding programs, local dog clubs and rescues), I wanted to combine my passions. For 6 years, I devoted my life to my own Weimaraner rescue program till Hurricane Katrina. In 1999, I began training dogs for AKC shows (Agility, Obedience, Rally, Hunting). After a few years of traveling and competing, I stepped up my training to add conformation for IABCA (International All Breed Canine Assoc.), hunting in NAVHDA (North American Versatile Hunting Dog Assoc.), Agility (United States Dog Agility Assoc.) Lure Coursing Ability, Barn Hunting Association and United Kennel Club. I'm a Pro Dog Trainer through Absolute Dogs of the UK. I am always learning to through seminars and classes through Fenzi Academy.
I also breed and train Weimaraners (Rhythm N Blues Weimaraners). With my blue weims, I have earned the following titles : CGC, FD, TKN, TKI, JH, RAE, RE, RA, RN, CD, NA, NAJ, NAJP, NAP, OF, OJP, OAJ, OA, AXJ, AX, MACH points, Cynosport rally Puppy and level 1. NAprize 3, and NAprize 2 through NAVHDA, BHA RATI, RATN, RATO,RATM, RATCH, RO1 and International Championship and United Kennel Club Championship.
We have points/wins toward more obedience , tracking and Lure coursing ability.
I enjoy showing my dogs and testing my abilities to train them in different events. However, not everyone wants to show their dogs and I can respect that. My show experience can help make every day training fun and interesting.
